I've been more than a little slack at getting our blog off the ground and going. I will be trying to do better, but we are still here and kicking. Or rather, staying on the go! The boys are well and we should be getting more pics up soon.

Like Father, Like Son

A couple of weeks ago a teacher at T's Daycare asked Michael to come and give a fire safety talk to her class. She also asked if M could wear his fire gear so that the kids could get a chance to get up close and personal. Since the class was one age group below T, he felt that he needed to be there to add his version of the fire safety talk as well. Here they are in the lobby of the daycare getting dressed out.

And here are my two heroes ready for action! Notice the FDNY hat that T has on - he hardly goes anywhere without it.

My Handsome Fellow...

My Brady turned 9 yesterday. Wow! Where does the time go?!?! He complained that it wasn't fair that he had to go to school on his birthday and begged me to let him stay home. Of course I couldn't do that, but I did get him dismissed early. We went to church for our usual Wednesday night meal and we surprised him with a huge birthday cake complete with a pic of him riding his go-cart on it.

Blogging for the first time...

Though there are several blogs that I love love love to read and keep up with, I've never tried one of my own. I thought that now is as good of time as any to try.

I work full-time outside the home and I am married to a firefighter, therefore making me a "shift widow" every third day. We have 3 sons - yours, mine & ours. Cody is 15, loves music, plays the trumpet and guitar, and just started his first job. Brady is 9 (actually he will be tomorrow), and is the most compassionate and caring child you will ever meet. He gets his thrills from anything that has wheels and/or a motor. Tyler, almost 4, is our little Fireman. Ever since he first learned the word Fireman he has said that's what he's going to be when he grows up.

I guess my sole purpose with trying to start a blog will be to keep friends and family up on what's going on with us. Just because about all of our family lives close doesn't mean we get to see them as much as we'd like.
